She graduated from Le Fresnoy &#8211; studio national d&#8217;arts contemporains in 2017 and from the Paris-Belleville School of Architecture in 2012.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Her films and installations focus on forces of resistance in contemporary landscapes, and blend researches, narratives and experimentations. Explora con la c\u00e1mara, da perspectiva a las cosas y construye narrativas. En sus pel\u00edculas polif\u00f3nicas, traza una cartograf\u00eda consciente de los territorios que graba, a los que siempre la une un v\u00ednculo afectivo. Gracias a sus estudios en Arquitectura, percibe con facilidad la disposici\u00f3n de los paisajes socio-naturales: el delta del Mississippi (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sweat<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, 2020), un pueblo costero del norte de Francia (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stella<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">50.4N1.5E<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, 2016), un canal abandonado (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Love Canal<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, 2017), los bosques y los pueblos de las Cevenas (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sangli\u00e8res<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, en progreso). Todos estos paisajes tienen las cicatrices de diferentes modos de explotaci\u00f3n. Pero ella teje sus narrativas a trav\u00e9s del mundo viviente, de suerte que los protagonistas de sus pel\u00edculas, humanos, m\u00e1s que humanos, nos muestran otra forma de habitar y de imaginar mundos a trav\u00e9s de los territorios en los que vivimos y que tenemos la capacidad de transformar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las pel\u00edculas de Elsa Br\u00e8s, que parten de hip\u00f3tesis y narrativas alternativas, pretenden revelar las capas opacas y marginales subyacentes a las narrativas oficiales de algunos lugares con sistemas e infraestructuras complejos. En un proceso de densa investigaci\u00f3n, llevada a cabo durante un periodo largo, la artista extrae fragmentos de la pel\u00edcula en la que trabaja en cada momento para mostrarlos de manera independiente en exposiciones. De este modo, puede experimentar con los dispositivos de grabaci\u00f3n y con diferentes tipos de imagen, al mismo tiempo que prueba la narrativa de las propias im\u00e1genes en movimiento en el espacio expositivo.
